About The Parker Boot Camp Program

Our program
If you've been to Parker Boot Camp before, you'll still recognize our class structure. We'll have our usual morning boot camp (but with lots of new workouts), but we'll also have many more classes throughout the day. Plus more things to play with.

In our new gym we'll have more classes, more implements and just more fun all around! We'll be primarily inside, but will have some space behind the building that we'll use when the weather is permitting (and maybe an occasional run around the block). It will be better than the old indoor and outdoor boot camps combined!

You can see our new schedule here, but we'll also have open gym time, where you can come in and do your own workout, or if you're not feeling inspired as to what to do, you can do the workout we'll have posted.

We conduct our classes/boot camps with a combination of training modalities. A little kettlebell, a little CrossFit, throw in some sandbags, ropes, tires, and whatever else we can find to create a program that is always a challenge, and designed to keep you progressing towards your fitness goals.

We'll include nutritional tips, advice, recipes, and motivation to help you reach your goals. We truly do want to see you succeed. We are not like a big-box gym where they hope you'll sign up and then not come. We want you to come, we want you to reach your goals and be fit.

We are creating an atmosphere that is a combination of a "regular" gym and a personal training studio at the same time. In other words, we want to maintain our close-knit atmosphere and sense of community, but offer you a lot more options with the facilities and class times we have.

Someone will always be there to give you any needed attention or advice, even when you come in to work out on your own.

Two more BIG differences between our gym and some of the other gyms is that...
1) You can use chalk!
2) You can grunt!

Why we train this way?
We like to think that we are a step (maybe a few steps) above the typical trainer at the typical gym.
We are not just book-trained personal trainers, and we spend a lot of time and money training with the best, so that we can pass on the best training to you.

We have learned from people who train Special Forces and SWAT units around the world. World class coaches who have led US teams and individuals to victories in the Olympics and world competitions.

Some of these techniques and modalities may seem simple and primitive, but they work. The best trainers in the world use these techniques, because they know they work. Otherwise they wouldn't be using them.

Why kettlebells?
It's true, we use kettlebells quite a bit. We do like them a lot, and here's why:

  • Kettlebell training builds usable, whole body, real world strength
  • Kettlebell training develops unreal endurance and killer conditioning
  • Kettlebell training makes you faster, more powerful, and explosive
  • Kettlebell training creates resilient and stable joints
  • Kettlebell training helps you become more flexible, mobile and agile
  • Kettlebell training builds a strong, lean physique
  • Kettlebell training is one of the best fat burning workouts you can do (another link here)

30 minutes of kettlebells training will deliver more calories burned, and real muscle development than most 60-90 minute "traditional" workouts in the gym, with gains in strength, conditioning and overall physical ability that rival anything else out there. It's efficient and effective, period!

Spetsnaz Special Forces in Russia use them, and the Spetsnaz are the definition of efficiency.

The US Secret Service uses them as both a training and testing tool. They are onboard Air Force One.

Yes, but are they for me?
  • Kettlebells don't discriminate. Men and women alike can experience dramatic and exciting results!
  • Kettlebell training is simple to learn
  • Kettlebell training (done properly) has a low risk of injury
  • Kettlebell training naturally strengthens your weak areas
  • Whatever your fitness level, we'll find your starting point!

But that's not all we do!
We train using quite a few other tools as well. Not the typical machines at the gym (there are no treadmills here), but we do use ropes, sleds, tires, pull-up bars, boxes and other fun things, and even traditional Olympic bars and weights, so that we can develop a well-rounded body, capable of doing anything, and looking good while doing it.
